Chukars sweep Wenatchee 11-6 and 12-2
(Ontario, OR) - The TVCC Chukar baseball team got back on track with a DH sweep over Wenatchee Valley College on Wednesday afternoon at Elks Memorial Field.
In game one: Tanner Cantwell came in relief to get the win. Sophomore Nolan Jekich went 2-3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's. Tyler Roper went 2-4 with an RBI and Jerred Seamons went 3-5 with an RBI to give the CHUKS the 11-6 win.
In game two: Tyler Roper went 4-6 with 4 RBI's including the game ending walk off double scoring the final two runs to end the game 12-2 in the bottom of the 8th inning. Cole Jones went 2-4 with an RBI and Logan LaFemina went 2-4 with an RBI. Ryan Yost picked up the win for the CHUKS in relief of starter Ty Hueckman.
The CHUKS, 17-14 overall and 8-6 in league, will start the second half of league play by hosting Spokane this Saturday starting at 12 pm.
