Chukars win game two at Walla Walla for a split on the day

(Walla Walla, WA) - The Chukars rallied in game two at Walla Walla to win 9-2 after losing game one 10-4. 

In game one: The Chuks jumped out to a 2-0 in the first but gave up 3 in the bottom of the first. Tyler Laird settled down and held the warriors scoreless until the bottom of the 5th until the Warriors erupted for 7 runs in the fifth.

Cole Jones went 2-5 with an RBI and his first HR of the season. Jerred Seamons also collected two hits and knocked in a run for the CHUKS.

In game two: Starting pitching Ty Hueckman pitched a solid 6 innings scattering 6 hits and giving up only one run to earn the victory for the CHUKS, 9-2.

Jones went 2-4 with a triple. Tyler Roper went 2-5 with 2 RBI's; Brad Jekich went 2-5 with an RBI. The CHUKS banged out 12 hits in the game to earn the split on the day.

The Chukars, 13-10 overall and 4-2 in league, will host Yakima Valley this Saturday, starting at 12 pm at Elks Memorial Field.
