CHUKS bounce back sweep Clackamas 3-1 and 10-0
(Ontario, OR) - Sophomore Tanner Cantwell hit a monster HR and went 3-3 with 3 RBI's in the second game of Sunday's DH with Clackamas CC, winning 10-0. Freshman Ryan Yost went 6 innings, giving up just 2 hits, 1 BB, and 3 K's.
IN game one, the Chukars had to come back trailing 1-0 for most of the game. The CHUKS pushed two runs across in the bottom of the 8th to give reliever Kaleb Jones the win for the Chukars. Chase Barrera went 2-3 for the CHUKS with the go ahead RBI. Cole Jones, Brad Jekich, and Nolan Jekich each collected one hit.
In game two, the CHUKAR offense exploded for 15 hits with Dylan Mansanzarez going 3-4, Cole Jones 2-3, Joe Puzio 2-3, and Brad Jekich 2-3. The Chukar defense was also very good on the day committing no errors in the double header.
The Chukars, 9-8 overall, will open up league play this Wednesday, hosting Columbia Basin College in a DH, starting at 1 pm.
